    Can anyone tell me how to check the fuel filter? I'm using fresh fuel. I did check the fuel line and everything else and I don't think thats the culpret. I've changed the fuel diapham once before and just want to make sure thats the problem or problem area before go in for surgery. Thanks

    I took it out again yesterday. Now at full throtle its fluctuating or going up and down about 5 mph. Does this sound like the fuel pump diaphram or something else?

    This is the thread i posted just last week. "This engine is cutting out or isn't able to suck the gas in when I put it in full throtle. I can put in full throtle and it will go about 30 yards and it will suck the gas out of the hose and just cuts out. Does anyone know what needs to be adjusted...

    How often does this have to be changed? I just changed mine about three seasons ago and found out it may have to changed again. Is that normal? Its a 1984 35hp Mercury.

    Thanks for the tips, I will check again. If this isn't a fuel line problem, does anyone know what will need to be adjusted on the engine? I have the carb screw pretty loose because it starts easier, I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. I'm going to tighten it and see what happens.

    This is what Maxx Haul said. Yes, it is better to unplug lights before putting the boat trailer in the water and the life span of the light will be longer.

    Thanks for the info. I wish I would have done this years ago. I did have a lot of difficulty with the old bulbs, half the time one side wouldn't blink so I would have to take them apart to shift them.
