    Boat taking on water

    I have a merc alpha 1 drive I replaced the bellows and bearing 5 years ago and now the boat is taking on water again.Coming in the driveshaft bellows I can see it come in the boat,so I pulled the drive and don't see any holes in the boot could the upper shift shaft leak enough to allow water...

    Replacing Lower Shift Cable "Help"

    I'm replacing the lower shift cable in a Alpha 1 and having the trouble getting the cable back into the shift boot is it better to take the boot off the transom and slide it on the cable then clamp the boot back on the transom that little hole is way to tight. thanks Lee

    Alpha One Stalls When Giving It Throtlle in Reverse

    Works fine in forward but stalls when trying to give it throttle in reverse.Will go in to reverse just can't give it throttle,is this just a cable adjustment or would a new shift cable be in order?? thanks Lee

    Bellows

    I'm installing all new boots on my Alpha drive.I installed and glued the driveshaft bellows on the bell housing but I see its off center just a 1/8 inch should I take it back off and recenter it?or will it be okay thanks Lee

    Alignment question?

    I changing out all the bellows on my Alpha 1 drive and might change the gimbal bearing does not seem bad but may as well while I'm there.If the drive came off with ease the alignment should be find even if I replace the bearing right???because it going back in the same place right?:rolleyes:
