I purchased a 89 pu55 and the first thing I did was pull the carbs and clean them and also replaced the water pump.
Took it out on the water and it wouldn’t open up, it runs and idles perfectly, just couldn’t get it up on plain.
I did a compression test and got 125 psi on top and bottom...
