I have an old 1968 johnson 55hp TRL-10 and when I crank it over it pops but wont start. I think it might be a timing issue but I have no idea on how to set the timing on this thing. If you have any idea what it might be please help thanks.

now when i trun the key to start the motor all i hear is a knock in the power pack i think either way the starter is not turning and just a knock
