okay, I understand HOW to tell the difference between them, and all that but can someone explain to me WHAT the difference is? And what does it all mean?
Is it called a looper b/c of the 'looper pistons' ??
Why 2 different styles? Im confused :)

Well as some of you know already I had a t-stat stick on my old motor and it overheated. Put a new powerhead on it, and started it up last night. Noticed no water pumping so turned it off, pulled lower unit and looked at H20 Pump.
