Finally got my 16' 1967 Naden in the water! There was a mad rush in the last few weeks to get her together, but I finished (minimum to operate) hours before we drove to northern Wisconsin.
There's still lots to do before she's "finished" (whatever that means), like power tilt/trim, bimini top...
I purchased the parts list and repair manual (Seloc) for this beautiful outboard and am having trouble figuring out the model. Serial number is 2207052, it's a four cylinder 65 hp. My specific questions are:

I am thinking of buying a boat with a 1970 Mercury outboard. I'm told it runs but the lower unit has a crack. I assume the previous owner neglected to winterize properly. Is this a big deal to repair (I plan to buy the OEM shop manual if I can find one)?
