I have a 1973 Johnson 65 hp outboard that I bought a fuel pump rebuild kit for.
I was in the process of tearing it down while multi-tasking and supervising the family on other projects and did not pay attention how it came apart as well as I should have.
The kit I got was the Sierra 393103 kit...
I've just aqquired a vintage outboard and can find nothing through research I have done.
If anyone can point me in any direction where I can find out the year and size of the outboard.

73' Johnson 65 Hp / rebuilt last Oct. / had lower unit replaced with a used unit, that wouldnt start and run more than a couple seconds.
I couldn't find ANYTHING wrong with the motor....It just wouldnt start even though everything seemed perfect.
I installed new plugs and then it wouldnt...

I am fairly new to boating and was hoping some of you could answer a few questions for me.
1. What is "OMC"? A brand name or type of boat?
2. what runs a boat speedometer and can I get a replacement "thingie" that goes to the speedo that hangs of the back of the boat?
