    1959 18hp fastwin has electric starter ring gear attatched to flywheel. Can it be removed without affecting flywheel balance or engine performance? Engine does not have an electric starter, only pull cord.

    Motor was rewired for conventional ignition years ago i.e. car coil, condenser, and no amplifier, ran great for a long time. Now it runs great until fully warmed up. After about 15 minutes of running the engine starts to miss and run really rough. I just replaced the coil, and all the wiring...

    after engine is run for a while and is good and warm one cylinder cuts out from time to time. replaced plugs and checked ignition wires, seem o.k. Cuts out more often when extra load is on battery, such as activating power tilt. HELP!
