I bought this boat a couple weeks ago and have had it out almost every day so far. 2 days ago I started to notice it was getting harder to steer, and then yesterday it pretty much completely went out.
When accelerating, the steering basically locks up...
So the bow eye pulled out of the boat while going 60mph... boat started slipping off the trailer and dragged on the lower unit until I could find a driveway to pull into. Now there's a hole an inch or two in diameter in the lower unit... skeg is pretty much gone.

When I took my boat in to the shop, they said my water intake hose was leaking, and that's why I keep overheating. They said it would be 4-5 hours of work because it's really hard to get to, and at $70/hr thats around $300 just for labor.
Does anyone have a pic of where this hose is, or can you...

Bought it earlier this month, no problems with overheating before. Actually when I took it to the boat shop a couple weeks ago they replaced the thermostat because the engine wasn't getting warm enough.
Supposedly the water pump was replaced last season...
