Sounds good, I'll pop open the handle maybe later today, and try to see back there from the dash.

Nope, electrical. Disconnecting the battery stopped it. When we were out yesterday, you could hear it trying while we were just sitting. If I messed with the control, it stopped.

Electrically, I heard it happen, and when I disconnect the battery, all is fine. I also was getting my cover repaired this spring and it rained pretty good while that was happening....and obviously there's no rubber cover to protect it anymore.

Well this got more important, the trim randomly goes down....this time when driving.

Ah, I didn’t even realize the gear control also has a rubber cover. Need one for the trim control up top, probably also in a kit. I’ll look for diagrams.

There used to be a rubber boot completely covering the trim control on the throttle arm. Can’t find what it’s called, much less if anyone still makes it. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. 99’ Chris Craft 210 Volvo 5.0 Gi

Just a dead battery…..no idea why the jump didn’t work.

I’m seeing about 3V everywhere, but it still won’t start with a jump battery box on it. Gonna pull the bat and charge it up.

Won't jump. Thanks all, I will get out there tomorrow when it's warmer with my multimeter and find the issue.

Hmm sounds good, there's three breakers together on a box on top of the engine, but they all seem fine. There's gotta be one I'm missing somewhere!

Just got my 99 Chris Craft 210 back from storage. Sunny day, ran it up, sounding great. Dropped off the cover to get repaired. Next day - heavy rain. Go figure. I come out the next day to the lower unit on the ground, and the boat completely dead. Try to jump it - nothing. All the breakers on...

Read my latest post. I caused it. This boat has been well taken care of considering it’s old as dirt. Forget the money, I’m not worried about that.

Ha scratch that, the replacement cup holders I put in wore out the alternator belt! Fun stuff. Again, I’m learning.
