I've replaced the impellar in this engine, and after replacement of everything the engine will not stay in reverse. Took it to a mechanic to have him checkout the lower unit gears and clutch dog. He said everything was fine. I'm thinking I may have bumped the shift rod out of place...

Complete Mercruiser 140 motor from a 1993 Bayliner. Block has been carefully repaired with JB Weld. I have another identical engine that is disassembled without any JB Weld needed for the same price. $400.00
Just recieved this outboard from family... It is in immaculate shape. . . I doubt it's ever been started... ( at least it looks that way ) What kind of issues did this motor have? Is it the 60 or 90 degree V? Did the oil Injection Work well on this engine? Any "common" issues with this engine...
