83 120 in 17 ft open bow alpha one outdrive just b 4 comes on plane it jumps ouf gear anot 3000 rpm as soon s ur throtle up it goes into neutral i ran 5 miles at 2500 with no issues as soon as try to get on plane its outta gear any help in this issue
ok on water today previously was fine but i was in real rough water and maby not . ok took off at about 1200 rpm till warm up and no wake area past and proceeded to come up on plane accellerated to 3000 and just as boat came to plane it eithr kicked outta gear or prop spun engine...
my frind bought a used boat 84 with merc 350 supposedly bad it wasnt he got lucky ,\. poor dealer diagnosis .now as we go thru items be 4 launching w find about 1/4 in end play in prop we r replacing water pump and found this . spins free and quiet is there an adjustment or is that avg...
just very courious . why is a marine ign coil same spec as auto look exactly alike and i can see no difference . but they w. ant 30 dollrs more for a marine coil .thanks for your answer as this is just bugging me
but had a miss compression good after removing valve cover found broken pushrod cannot find a reason.lifter good rockr and ball good any ideasjust over 200 hrs on motor and very quiet:confused::confused:
hello new i/o owner of 83 vintage runs great handles great had a back end full of water up too oil pan in 4 hrs . pumped it out took it out of water . got home and put water in compartment it leaks out at right looking at outdrive...
