    Newbie Mercruiser TRS Drive Problem

    I was helping a friend replace his water pump impellar in his lower unit, and I learned AFTER tearing apart you have to put the drive in forward. I'm having a hard time putting it back together, is there any tricks, or ways to get the upper shift collar looking part into forward and stay there?
