Hi, I have a 40 hp mariner magnum 4 cyl 2 stroke.
The trim motor has went bad. Does any place sell a rebuild kit, or brushes for this motor? Or sell just the motor itself?

I have a Mercury 1150 inline 6 (mid 70's).
One day the trim started getting slow (up and down), trimmed it up to get it on the trailer pulled the bout out of the water and the trim would just click when trim up is pressed, nothing when down is pressed.
I replaced the motor with a rebuilt one...

I just got a 1978 150 HP Merc I6 this winter (along with a 1978 Checkmate Try-Mate 1).
Compression was around 136 +/- no more than 10 psi.
I have replaced all fuel lines and fittings, rebuilt carbs and fuel pumps (2) (they were all bad), primer bulb, then the basic stuff like impeller...
