Hello all, and thanks right off. Dumb question, Does my 81 Johnson 90HP require a battery to run? It does have the capability to be pull started with a manual setting on primer, but will it motivate without a battery if I didn't have electric starter?
Engine will not idle below 2800 rpms, Found gasket leak between intake and block, after checking all other options, compression on motor is 125, 120, 125, 120.
carbs rebuilt, most of electronics replaced and checked, new hoses and fuel pump, etc.
Simple question with a hard awnser. I have a 1981 90HP J90TLCIM motor, Item #41 in the cylinder & crankcase parts manual call for the filler block for the 115HP and 140HP only, in the service manual I can not find a reference to it at all is it required in the 90HP?
