I'm not experienced at all on working on these boats. My boat used to be oil injected but that was removed and it now is premixed. Would this have caused them to change the fuel pump? What I thought was the fuel pump was a brass colored cylinder looking pump thing with 2 wires coming off of it...
I looked into the fuel pumps and the fuel pumps that are on the internet for my boat look nothing like the fuel pump on my boat. My boat used to be oil injected and is no longer. Would they have switched the type of fuel pump if they made it no longer use oil injection? Thanks
I I tried to start my boat up yesterday and it wouldn't fire. I traced it back to my fuel pump not working and checked the voltage of the wires going to it while I was cranking engine. I got no power. What could this be? where should I start looking for the issue? Need to get boat running Asap...
So my lower unit went out yesterday on my 88 mercury 115 2 stroke and I found a lower unit for sale from a 78 115 mercury. Does anyone know if these are compatible or what year lower units will fit on my 88? Thanks!
