    Wet spark plugs after running.

    I have a 75 hp. Merc year 93 and after it runs for awhile and getts wormed up the plugs are still wet . It has not been run for some time and also has a miss in it. Put in premum gas in and carb cleaner and problem is still there. Is this normal. New plugs also. Jim

    Does my Merc have points

    I have a 1994 40hp Merc and it has a miss. Does this engine have points or are they electronic ? It is the clasic 40 horse two cycle. Jim

    To much oil

    Is there a cam on a 40 hp Merc that controls the oil injection? Can the oil injector go bad and let in to much oil? Jim :confused:

    what spark plug to use

    Does anyone have a 1988 to 1997 40 hp Merc. that has the regular old spark plug in it? Is the factory (ring of fire plug)the only one you can use in them? If you know of a regular plug that will work that has the electroid on it like the split fire will you let me know what it is ? Jim :confused:

    To much oil?

    I have a 40 horse Merc. 2 cycle. My question is can the oil injector ware out and mix to much oil? It is a 1994 and I'm getting a lot of smoke comming out around the handle. I have used over 3 gallons of oil this year and just got my 4th gallon. Thanks for your help..

    Problem with 40 horse Merc.

    It is a 1994 clasic 4 cyl.twin carbs. When I start it and have to use the chock three or four times it smokes to beat the ban.Almost like it is getting to much oil. After it worms up it runs great.Is there any way to adjust the oil setting or should I have the carbs cleaned ? ps. It is a two...
