I have a maleron thruhull that was installed with rtv silicone that needs to be removed. What solvents that will soften the rtv will be safe to use on the maleron?
The speed control knob and momentary/constant switch went bad in my minnkota edge. After replacing them both I only have speed 2 4 and 5, and 2 seems faster than 4. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I had a problem with this motor breaking starters due to vertical movement of the flywheel. I finally opened the block up and somehow the center crank bearing has worn a groove under it. Is there any way to fix this by having a spacer machined to fit the groove or do I need a whole new powerhead?
