Hi can anyone tell me why it will not change gear i have got the leg off & the selection rod just spins. How do I go about getting the gear box apart? Thanks James
hi i have a 55hp yamaha which has broke down i have found a mariner 55hp i am told they are the same engine with different names is this true and could i use parts from the mariner on the yam thanks james
hi me again i have a 55hp yamaha that wont start iv took the fly wheel off and it looks like metal has worn off the inside off the fly wheel wear it would contact the the other parts would that caulse it to not start thanks james
hi i have a 55hp yam it now runs fine but there is up and down movment in the fly wheel and shaft is this anything to worry about thanks for the help james
hi iv just brought a 50hp yam which i belive has been standing unused for a while, it runs like a dream but it is realy hard to turn it on its povot point has anyone got any ideas haw to free it up iv tryed wd40 but its still stiff is there any easy way of doing it thanks for your help james
hi again i was reading another topic and it said if you run the engine on full tilt now and then it will clear the carbon out of engine is this true and is it worth doing thanks james
hi im thinging of buying a bigger engine for my boat i have a 17foot grp boat built to take a long sharf outboard what is the biggest engine i could put on it im thinking of buying a 50hp will the transom be strong enough because these engins can be very heavy and throw out a lot of power
hi i have a 25hp evinrude 1979 outboard, it used s sneeze a stall so i made it run a bit rich which stoped it but now it seems to kick a bit when running at all speeds i thought it mite be running out of fuel but it wasant any ideas thanks james
