I don't have an engine wiring diagram for this 2004 Yamaha 60 hp, model: 60TLRC .
Do not have power at the Brown wire (neutral safety switch) in the shift 704 remote control. Battery (Neg)has two small wires going into the boat and the (Pos) has one red stripped wire going into the boat.
Trying to find the Netural safty switch on the 704 control. Found two brown wires but don't know where they go or their function. Then there are a number of colored wires, two different connectors all coming out of the bottom of the 704 housing.
If I jump the solenoid the engine runs good...
Engine change from Johnson to 60 HP Yamaha. Not a change problem, engine ran fine for two seasons. Can jump start the solenoid and the engine runs fine. But turning the key will not start the engine. I think it is the neutral safty switch but not sure. Besides I can't find the switch...
Just bought this '95 Lowes, Mod: 215. It came with a 60 Hp Yahama but whoever did the conversion did not change the gauges! But they did change the wiring to rearrange the dash gauges. I guess they saved some wire but half of the gauges do not light up and the hour meter does not work.

Is 2004 a unique year for yamaha 60 HP motors?
Have a shift problem. Motor will do reverse, idle and accel in neutral but will not go into Forward gear! I can get some forward engagement if I put enough force on the shifter to lift the console off the deck
