Dealer has'nt been able to figure this out. Motor runs well most of the time, but will sometimes start cutting out, usually at medium to high speed. All 3 cylinders still fire, but the motor acts like its not getting enough fuel. I can choke it and pick up rpm for a few seconds. If I squeese...
Can I change the lower unit seal in my 1994 Mercury 8hp outboard, or does it require special tools and a manual? ( I have a little experience working on older motors, all Johnsons.) Serial number is CG020521. There is water in the gear case. Thanks.
