    A question about stringers

    I am just curious about this. Typically how do stringers run under the sole of the boat? Do they run the length of the boat or do they run across it? I am sure I will find out soon enough but curiosity got the best of me.

    Wood for floor

    Do I use the same 3/4" plywood that will be used for the stringers for the floor of the boat or can I use a 5/8" plywood for that? Also the 1/2" thick plywood core that goes in the stringers should be cut to the exact same size as the outer 3/4" pieces, right? One last question, where can I...

    pressure treated plywood

    What is the best way to dry this stuff out. I am going to start my renovation in about a month away and I want to make sure the wood is all dried out. Should I cut after the wood dries in case it shrinks one the chemical is evaporated? Thanks. Jason

    What weight of fiberglass cloth should I use to repair the stringers and the floor in my boat? Is it ok to use the 4oz. stuff? Or should i use at least the 6 oz or 12 0z stuff? Please let me know the iboats store has alot of options and I don't know which I need. Thanks, Jason
