    bravo 3 problems

    my outdrive is stuck in forward even when i have the shifter in reverse.if i give the shifter more gas in reverse the boat goes faster in forward.the cable is fine from the shifter to the engine,i can turn the prop 1 way but not the other,any ideas.its a 1999 7.4 with bravo 3's thanks

    7.4 rpms

    I just had a 1999 31 pc surveyed and sea trial,the surveyor said they could only get it to 4000 rpms at wide open.Top speed was 42 by gps.Does that sound right or should it be able to go 4300-4500 rpms at wo.It was the first time out for the boat since oct.Every thing else on the boat checked out
