This motor seemed fine as I have only run it a couple of times in water out my back garden but the last time my noticed when we took the bin away a sludge coming from the propeller, so I assume one or more of the oil seals are gone, am I right or can you think of anything else??, the advice is...
I have a Johnson 25hp and I have removed the propeller and I want to replace the oil seals but I am having difficulty trying to remove the casing, I have removed the two bolts and I attached two long eye bolts to through the two threaded holes on the cross members and attached a bearing puller...
Thanks very much, it was like that when I removed it but I had seen a video on Dangar marine and he used a Torgue wrench, but I don't know if it was a Johnson or some other outboard and as it happens you have confirmed what someone else has said, once again thanks very much
