    '62 Merc 700 Coil Question

    I have a 1962 Mercury 700 70hp motor, the coils are shot and i noticed they looked like automotive style coils. Can i put some vibration-less coils on it and call it a day, i did that when i rebuilt my old OMC motor and that worked well. Also can i put better carbs on this motor to open it up...
