I ordered from eBay a 5 inch extension and all the parts to convert my 1986 9.9 from a short shaft to long shaft. It seems straight forward on installation but there is no you tube videos. The parts ordered seem to have the long shaft, shifter, water pump and exhaust extension. Anyone out there...
I went to buy a1990 Merc 40 Hsp and did a compression test. Motor was super clean, seller nice guy. Top Cylinder 146, next 146 next 149 I was like cool. Bottom cylinder 126. Uhhh ohhh. I did not buy it. Thoughts?
