    fuel to oil ratio

    I recently purchased a used Yamaha outboard and also tracked down a service manual for it. The manual calls for 100-1 fuel to oil ratio. I am hesitant to go that lean. Should I be ? I was considering 50-1. Do any of you run 100-1? Looking for some recommendations thanks. ( Its a 1984 25hp )

    fuel filter question

    I want to install an inline fuel filter on my 20 hp '68 merc. looks like i have room between the fuel pump and carb. would this be okay? or should i install it on the line coming from the fuel tank? Also i was leaning towards using a clear paper type. Unless there is a better option. Thanks guys
