    Suzuki DT 85 Impeller Rotation Direction

    I just got this engine and the impeller dissolved. Got a new one, but not sure of the correct direction to put the fins on install. Help would be appreciated. With the unit out, and looking down from aft, would the fins be clockwise or counterclockwise?

    Recently picked up this motor. Starts fine. Good pickup. Get out about 1/4 mile from dock, seems to go into neutal. Selector and cables OK, not binding. Cut power, Lift motor up. Check the prop. Goes back into gear. Headed back to the dock. Tried it again. Same thing. All connections...

    Loss of thrust

    Just got the motor, a 76 Mercury 85HP. First time on the water. Started fine, but about 1/2 mile out, lost thrust, engine running fine, no forward, no reverse. Checked linkage, seemed ok, but selector would not go into full reverse, and engine would rev very high when I tried. Got ashore...
