We got a new (to us) Bayliner boat earlier this season. It was in great condition, but the outdrive wouldn't go down, only up. I took at look at the pump and when I jumped the solenoid - I could lower it. So, I pulled the pump out and replaced the lower solenoid and everything...
So - this just started happening this week. There is oil leaking (pretty decent amount) from the lower unit.
Any idea if there is an easy repair so I don't have to rebuild the outdrive?
So, over the weekend I started noticing that my bilge (which never pumped water out) was pumping a decent amount of water out. So, when we got home, I got up underneath and we have at least one crack (hole) in the rubber boot. I assume it's original equipment - 1986.

I need a replacement site gauge that also has leads to send to the dash. This is from a 1986 Fabuglas boat. Everything seems to be operational, but I can't get an Ohms reading from the gauge.
