I'm testing the fuel line to see if the problem I'm having with getting my motor to stay running is the problem. When i pump up the bulb until it is stiff and then poke the ball seal in the connector (to the motor-female), should i be getting a good stream of fuel out of the line when I do this?
I just recently purchased my first boat that has a 74 40hp evinrude. I'm not sure the correct fuel/oil mixture and in addition i'm having problems getting it to run correctly. It takes starter fluid to get it started and once i have it started anytime i throttle it, it sputters and dies...
