This will be the second time i've done this... same problem beginning of season... put in brand new starter... problem gone... the damn thingy that attaches to the center post of the distributer located above the starter clicks when you turn the key... new starter is good but maybe soleniod...
I recently acquired a 2000 bayliner from a friend and something is wrong with the starter. Last season i would backfire... the starter would continue to try and start engine for about 10 seconds after it was running... this season it wont even turn over... the starter makes a click everytime...
