anyone know if you can replace a 140 4cyl with a small v8. Already doing full restore on stringer floor transom etc. What decides what weight a boat can hold? seen lots of other 18ft 76in beams using v8 power. Any ideas on the subject?
I have the transom mostly stripped down couple of questions though
1 cracks found under wood the transom was rotted gone except the upper 2inches
