    1995 GM 305 Merc 5.0 v8 190 HP :(

    2 barrel merc carb only puts out 190 HP so i'm thinking about putting in a 4 barrel to get 220 HP. Anyone ever done a conversion? Is there a kit that can be purchased for the DIYer? then have a real marine shop dial it in with a lake test?? Thanks, Sam

    Trailer Winch Size

    My 1996 Searay 180 dry weight is 2750 lbs.....then why would any trailer manufacturer but a Fulton T1401 (1400 lbs) winch to winch up a 2750 lbs boat. Heavy boat + small winch = lose of gear teeth. Now i'm in the market for a larger winch, but my mount in only 4" wide. Any suggestions???

    my boat doesn't steer straight at no wake speed but does over 20 mph. I was told that this is normal for deep v hull boats...then I read about the little tail on the zinc trim tab. My anode doesn't have this little fin. Is this the reason for the zig zagging at no wake speed???
