2001 Mercury 90hp 2 stroke on a 2001 Nitro 700LX
Was out in the water running great always started right up with no problems. Went to start it to head back into shoe and nothing. No clicking noise or anything. Thinking dead battery I switched batteries and still nothing. Everything else...
Both trailer lights stopped working. Brake, tail, and turn signals. Checked them Saturday before going out worked great got up Sunday to head out checked them again as I always do before leaving the drive way and nothing. Any ideas? I replaced both bulbs thinking they might have burned out.

Have power to tach
have good ground
took out tach put in friends boat works perfect
put his tach in my boat does not work.
Have continuity from grey wire from motor to back of tach
Battery is charging great so I am guessing rectifier...

I am realacing my fishfinder that has a through the hull transducer. I am going to the same set up. Anyone know how hard it is to get the old transducer out to be able to put the new transducer in the same spot or is this possible?
2001 Mercury 90HP Seem to have alot of oil near the front of the cowling where the cables through. Ran it on muffs with cowling off and don't see any oil dripping from anywhere. IS it possible I have the motor tilted to high up when not in use where it coulkd be coming from the cap on the oil tank?
HAve a 2001 NItro 700 LX 2001 90HP mercury. The tach doesnt work. SOmetimes the needle will bounce a little when I first start it up. Other then that it just sits there It looked like the wires were hooked up good to the back of the tach. Don't know where to look on the motor to see if they are...

Took the boat for a test drive. At idle it has a miss to it. Not bad but you can tell. It will stay idling though and you can idle around the lake with no problem. Give it throttle and it runs great not a miss or hesitation will cruise at 52 MPh all day long. Any ideas...
