Since my motor is a 88 40hp evinrude it doesn't have power trim or tilt can I add just the power cylinder to replace the old one and it work?? I can't fish the river where I live to much because of rocks so I can't have my motor hanging down as far as it does I've already tore a prop up

Motor was running fine then shut off ended up being a bad driver coil replaced yesterday now it will not crank has spark gas everything to run just want hit double checked wiring gas lines nothing is wrong hope someone on here can point me in the right direction and also new points condensers...
