    I made the mistake of screwing my shift rod all the way in. can some one tell me what height the rod should be at when in neutral and where should I measure from.

    I purchased a manual and it takes you through how to disassemble and reassemble, but my problem is when I took off the foot to replace water pump I did not pay attention to the shift rod. The shift rod has a bend at the top, my question is do the bend go toward the front or the rear of the engine.
