    Where is 8 BTDC on merc 228

    Hello 1979 amf 2450crestliner merc 228, rebuilt jasper engine (305) in 1992. My timing tab is very rusty and I cant make out any numbers on it. Where would 8 BTDC be in relation to the middle of the tab? How many teeth marks above or below the middle? Thanks for your help Jim
