Has anyone had any success adding an autochoke to a 9.8 tohatsu without replacing the carb. I have the ef model and can add the selonoid and related hardware, but unable to add the plunger valve as that part of the carb is sealed. Also choke plate position is 180 degrees different from ep models...
I ordered the remote conversion kit for my 2011 tohatsu 9.8A3 tiller model. I received the rc5 remote part number 3b7q843503, and the hardware kit 369838802m.
I am concerned about the hardware kit, the parts do not seem to correspond with anything in my genuine tohatsu manual for my engine...

New to the form and also have a new 2011 9.8 tohatsu. Was wondering if anyone has converted there Tohatsu from the friction screw adjustment to the front mounted sliding lever or if it was even possible to do. Getting tired of hanging over the back of the boat to adjust it all the time.
