    Short Shaft to Long Shaft

    OK, Here is my problem. I have a Long Shaft boat with a Short Shaft motor. It is a 77 35HP Rude. Is there a way to make it a long shaft? My AV plate is about 5inches above the bottom of my boat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :confused:

    Will Not Plane

    I seem to have a similar problem as RedFin22. You all have helped alot in the past few weeks. I have ID'ed the motor as a 77 Evinrude 35 HP. I bought a Repair Manual. The starting problem was juke in the Reed Valve. Now to the problem at hand.The motor runs and idles fine, at W.O.T the boat...

    NO ID TAG

    I have looked for the ID Tag and there isn't one on the outside of the motor. I looked for the small aluminum disk on the top of the engine and it seems to have been removed. Is there any other way to ID and Outboard Motor? :confused:

    What type of outboard?

    I have a Outboard that has no ID plate of any kind. How do I know what HP and Year this motor is? It was stated as being an Evinrude 35 HP. Any Help?
