    A question from a new boater. If you travel to a small lake that does not have a marina with gas on the lake, do you travel with extra fuel? Or do you pull the boat out of the water to re-fuel? Thanks, John

    Muffs

    1993 Wellcraft Excel 18', 2.3L 4 cyl.<br />OK...I checked my sterndrive...where do the muffs go for flushing the motor? I believe that the Volvo engines should have the hose hooked up on the left side for water intake...I don't see a water intake on either side. Am I looking in the wrong...

    Foam?

    OK...Dumb question...do all boats have foam under the floor, or only some boats? Is the purpose of the foam to help the boat float, or to provide support? I'm not sure what I will find in my 1993 Wellcraft 18".<br />Thanks,<br />John

    Marine Lumber?

    I have a boat that needs a new floor. I spoke with a guy about using a plastic material made by Taco Marine. It is heavier than regular wood plywood & a lot more expensive, but supposedly will last forever & never rot. Does anyone have experience with this stuff? Comments?<br />Thanks,<br />John

    Gelcoat questions...

    I'm a rookie boater 7 purchased a used 1993 Wellcraft 20 foot bowrider that needs a good hull cleaning & waxing. My question is what is gelcoat & how does it differ from paint?
