Anyone ever have success useing helicoils in the midsection for the lower unit fasteners? I have recently purchased this Engine with the two forward port and starboard sides bolt threads striped out and not sure if the helicoil will do the trick IE corosion!!! Any suggestions would be helpfull...
Can anyone tell me if this engine is equiped with VRO and if so is there any possible upgrades or improvments besides pluging it up and premixing my fuel and oil??? The parts list provided at the BRP web site dose not list one or any parts....

Has anyone ever heard of a commercial grade outboard aprox 1990 year ? If so is there anything different about the engine that I need to know before I buy it or use it?
