how do yo remove the shocks from the mount i cant get the m off the pivot tube they are loose on the drive shaft housing but wont budge off the top- tube
just overhauled my 850 and had the flywheel off now dont know if i have it timed corectly .i put no.1 at tdc with dial indicator and then aligned 0 degree mark on timing tape on fly wheel with the pointer and bolted it down .have the distributor aligned with the tab on pully and frame aligned ...
water pump is still leaking oil its worse now with new seals the drive shaft is worn pretty bad where seals run does anyone know if and where to get repair sleeves for this shft or would someone have a good drive shaft .going to try not pressing seals as deep to hopefully get on a good section...
well anotherone my lower unit is dripping oilfrom gear box i took off prop and the prop shaft around seal feels and looks dry.i did put in new impeler last year what do you think about it being the drice shaft seals leaking oil had the same problem years ago when a crooked boat shop charged me...
got a friend whose 85 merc will not throttle up normally he has to slowly work the throttle forward from idle or it dies. it will idle ok and run fine at wot i told him to check carbs and readjust idle mixture screws what do you think on the right track?
my 68 650 merc doesnt have a overheat alarm i got it hot last year and real hot it cracked the water jacket at the spark plug just a seep but it seems to run fine after i found broken wire from switch box and rebuilt carbs can a over heat alarm be added to this engine and how i sure hope i didnt...
