I've got it again! My 90 vip with 2.3 litre ford and cobra omc drive is sitting still with the clutch dog woes. I posted my problem last year and thought I had repaired the drive unit but its back again. My son was driving the boat and he said that the drive would "pop" about every 3 seconds...

'90 VIP WITH 2.3L FORD & OMC COBRA STERNDRIVE IS INCONSISTANT WITH SHIFTING - IS THIS PROBABLY A TRANSOM SHIFT CABLE? IS THIS COMMON? AND DO THEY HAVE 100 DIFFERENT CABLES OR ONE SPECIFIC TO REPLACE IT WITH IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM?
