    6 HP Johnson

    HI...I just picked up a 6 hp johnson....I would like to confirm the proper spark plug and fuel mix ratio....and any other comments about the motor....it does start and run. It is QD 240, ser#J2723050 Thanks....

    Year of motor?

    I have an Evinrude...#jooo2488 and 4055 4c....age, any quirks/hints etc about this engine....It has had an extension installed ...makes it a long shaft.. I also have a midsection/lower end with the following # 1880 3m-e01838, can the parts be used on the other engine? Thanks for any help.....

    Floorboard question...

    I have a 20 yr old Avon Redseal, But I dont have a floor.....is it required(seems it would be), where can I buy or find a set of plans for the floor boards, has anyone here ever made their own? I assume they come in pieces for ease of installation. Thanks for any help or suggestions........

    Johnson, year etc....??

    Johnson CD 11....

    Can anyone tell me the year, fuel mixture....plugs, I gave 25 dollars for it...all original, only thing I can find missing is one of the rubber isolation dampers under the cowling.....I am getting ready to see if it runs.......Thanks

    evinrude 6 hp

    Bought a used evinrude....numbers are 6702D and E11406......... What is the year, fuel mix ratio? Any quirks about this motor? Paid $25 for it, guy says it runs.....

    Elgin parts list

    I have a 1960(?) Elgin 7 1/2 hp sold by sears....last part of ser# is 1501.....I cannot seem to find a service manual. I want to rebuild the carb....looks like the powerhead needs to come out to do most anything. Does anyone have a manual or know where I can find one....have looked in ebay already.

    Transom mount fuel tank.....

    Somewhere...ebay or craigslist...I saw in a picture of an outboard with a "transom mount fuel tank...it was red plastic, I have since looked at Tempo and Atwood websites, but have'nt found it.......has anyone seen or heard of this type of fuel tank?
