    Trailer Winch

    Will a 2000 lb winch w/ strap be sufficient for a 83' Kayot deck boat, 2700 lb net weight...Im assuming that is including the engine which is a 350 Merc V-8. Just want to make sure when I go up those 35 degree inclines my boat doesnt tumble off :)

    What size winch do I need?

    So after first day boat , cable on winch almost breaks...actually right after I hooked safety chain on, whew! I have a 1983 Kayot deck boat, 2700 lb net weight, and I want to switch to a strap.

    I pulled the Trigger and Frist day Boating Antics

    Well I did it...I bought a 1983 Kayot deckboat...its a monster. Has a 260 hp inboard. Deck might need to be replaced, need to rewire stereo, lights (may just need bulbs), wife is going to redo seats and benches this winter, have to fix gas guage.... Trailer; frickin winch cable snapped first...
