I have a 1984 50 hp 4 cyl. merc outboard that is very hard to steer. The cables work fine when not attached to the motor so the problem lies with the pivoting in the motor itself. Any advice as how I can fix or free-up this pivot point on the motor ? I just don't see how it comes apart.
