    What is a good rpm range for a 250 mercury on a 2240 robolo? The boat weighs 6200 with fuel, I hover around 4000 or so, but it seems slow. Please help :confused:

    New to the boating world. I have a 2240 robalo with a 250 merc. Boat weighs 4900# fuel capacity of 140 gallons. I bought the boat for fishing. When running at 4000rpms the boats speed is only 20mph. Does this sound right? Should I be running it at 4000rpm or lower or higher? I need some...
