Can some one help me pick out a prop and pitch for my 87 Blackmax 150 HP. I'm looking for speed, NOT torque. Currently running a Quick Silver Laser 2 prop with a 27 pitch. Any help is much appreciated.

My 58 Johnson Super Seahorse 35 hp is hooked up to a Evinrude Simplex, and the shifter cable is broken, how do I change out the cable, I cant get it unhooked from the gear inside the control box. The cable number is D48296-000-168.0
The reason I ask is she never "pee's" as I call it...and the reason I ask about the water pump is she will be cruising and seems to be over heating then shuts down as if it has a kill switch and is steaming from the water...what do you think is causing the motor to shut down???

I just recently aquired a new to me Super Sea Horse, and it runs great just wont go into forward gear, I did unhook the cable from the motor and had to manually push the large lever/gear selector on the side of the motor to allow the shift lever to move forward enough to go into forward gear...
