    Need Opinion of 1990 140 HP Envinrude

    I was also looking to buy another engine: 1990 140 HP - Envinrude. Brand new power head - 50 hrs. What do you think of this engine? It has the separate oil tank for the VRO. But I would prefer to mix my oil w/ the gas. Is that OK? Overall, is this a good engine?

    Too many VOLTS

    I have a 1986 115 6 cycl. Volts read 12 when idle. As I increase speed the volts go up. At full speed the volts read 15.5 - 16. I have also noticed the fluid in my battery is running low. If I hit the power trim when the volts are up to 15.5, they go down to 12 and than go right back up to...

    Electric Tilt

    I have a 4 cyclinder 100 hp Johnson - 1990 - rebuilt in 1999. I removed the engine off my transom and put on a stand in my garage. However the engine is tilted up a bit. Is there a way to lower the tilt with out battery power? Is there a manual override to release the Hyrdralic pressure?

    Flushing out the engine

    I have a 1986 115 Merc - 6cyc - Rebuilt in 1999. I use the engine in salt water. When I bring it home and flush out the engine with the "ear muffs" I noticed that the water turned a little brown. Is that just the exhaust........?
