    Problem resolved. It was the CDI unit. Even though I tested and had spark on the removed plugs, it must have been too weak or intermittent. New CDI block and new plugs and all is well.

    What is the lube that should be used in the lower end of a 1995 mariner 60 and 9.9? Is it just sae 90 gear oil like I would use in any gear case? The Quicksilver page show 80w90 for below 75 hp.
